BlackBerry confirmed it would stop making its Classic headset with its iconic physical keyboard as part of an effort to modernize its lineup.
"The hardest part in letting go is accepting that change makes way for new and better experiences," said BlackBerry chief operating officer Ralph Pini in a blog post.
BlackBerry, one of the early pioneers of smartphones, has been struggling for years, trying to face their competition from Apple and Android phones.  It has made several efforts to find new customer niches and also released its own smartphone powered by Android software with the BlackBerry keyobord, BlackBerry Priv. Probably it won't be the last.
BlackBerry will still support BB10 0 mobile operating software with updates for the foreseeable future and BlackBerry Passport and Leap will still be available to the loyal customers.
