BlackBerry released its first Android phone

BlackBerry released its first Android phone

One of the problems that BlackBerry was facing was the lack of content apps, that the main competitors and market leaders had under control. The support for Android apps was brought only with BB10. The adoption of Android came for a basis, but still some details have been customized. For example, BlackBerry Safeguard, the security suite of apps, is kept. Additionally – the preloading, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and other basics.

The design had been chosen to be a slider, the keyboard is hiding behind the 5.4 Inch screen. The touch-sensitive keyboard is a big advantage that gives the opportunity to navigate across the phone, but unfortunately it doesn't work with all the apps. So the screen is still an option.

As per the technical part – BlackBerry Priv is expected to be capable to catch 4k Videos, but the internal memory is only 32GB, so it is expected to have an SD Card. The phone is using Snapdragon 808 64-Bit processor with Adreno 418 GPU.

The launch day is 6th November.
