Nintendo has always made its own path through the gaming industry in the years passed and as it seems also for the years to come . There is a new game console to come by Nintendo in 2016 as rumours say . Through the years every few years Nintendo has managed to make a console that took the companies sales sky high , NES , Nintendo 64 , Nintendo DS , Wii , 3DS , and is yet to see if the forthcoming console will manage be a part of Nintendos legacy .

From one point of view the new console was something expected considering that Wii U was of the worst selling products Nintendo ever made . And in a period where Sony and Microsoft seem to be more competitive than ever.

Nintendo's greatest successes were due to the company taking its biggest risks.

What we now already about the new console is :

It will not run Androind
Dragon Quest XI will be the first game to be released
Its available for pre orders in selected retailers
Nintendo will keep supporting Wii U and 3DS after NX launch

For the NX, a new control method is in the works after the Wii U's controller/touch-screen hybrid failed to inspire widespread developer support.

Ever since the release of the GameCube Nintendo has consistently had the least-powerful system on the market.

With the NX, it's possible Nintendo could create a console-portable hybrid. The Wii U dipped its toe in letting users take their games on the go by letting them play on a Gamepad as long as they were in proximity to a Wii U console. But if Nintendo creates an Xbox One/PS4-level system that you can take on the go, then you're playing with power.
