Apple Music Me

Why I’m So Excited For Apple Music

The last 15 years of my life been nothing but travel from college, to work, to family, it became a challenge for me to carry and ship my records and CDs across the world, so my iPod slowly became my best friend as I ripped and copied all my CDs and records to it, close to 20GB of music, and one day somehow I lost my iPod or misplaced it or maybe its in a family storage somewhere, I don’t really know… Streaming services quickly saved the day and became my goto for music, it didn’t make sense to me to buy all my old records at once, so streaming helped me rediscover my favorites again and even nudged me into new genres, and slowly I started buying music again, but this time digitally thanks to iTunes.
With Apple Music you have access to Apple entire Music library

Starting June 30, Apple will open its entire library to Apple Music memberswhich means we will be able to create as many playlist as we want, with access to all of our favorites and even old favorites without breaking the bank, and best of all your entire family under Apple iCloud’s Family Sharing can have the same access and create their own playlists and stations without affecting your playlists.

Apple Music will change the world of Music as we know it

I remember growing up saving most of my allowance to buy new music, and looking forward to the weekend, and spend it all listening to the weekly top hits discovering new songs and new artists. I even remember waking up middle of the night and turn-on the radio to help me back to sleep just to be disappointed by the sound of empty wave. And like most of my generation growing up in the 90s, and even generations and generations before us, radio shows played a very important part of our life, its not only where we discovered new music, but its also where we learned about the world news as radio hosts and DJs changed the mood to reflect what’s happening around the world, dedicating songs to nations, and underprivileged, and I’m so excited that Apple didn’t forget about the radio and created Beats 1 for Apple Music the first 24/7 live broadcast from cities around the globe, because after all we are living in a one small connected world; an earthquake in Nepal, or humanitarian crisis in Syria, or malnutrition affecting childrens of South Sudan, or a shooting in Charleston, no matter how far or near it still affect us. And while we can escape it all and create our own playlists and let the music take us to a dreamy place, there is a part of us that still need that human touch.

“I was very lucky to grow up in a time when music really mattered. It wasn't just something in the background; it really mattered to a generation of kids growing up. It really changed the world.”

— Steve Jobs, 2006

Growing up as a citizen of the world it was so hard to find the latest records, or when you looking for your favorite song that moment you missing it, the first thing you do is call the radio, and one of the radio stations that left a big impression on me growing up and made me always want to tune in for more was Radio1. Radio1 was one of the stations that perfected a format enjoyed by millions and later copied around the world from Dubai to Sydney, no matter where you are when you tune-in you feel right at home to the sound and tune of the local stations playing similar shows or format you enjoyed with Radio1, from the weekend top hits, to the daily shows.

I’m so excited that Apple invested to bringing radio to the future, reimagining it for the new generation yet with a fresh take in your favorite genres, and of course Zane Lowe, he entertained us for so long, and now under Apple with his new crew, he will make us feel back at home again, reminding us of how good music should be discovered, because these days its so hard to discover new music that TV shows and ads became a major source of music discovery. And best of all you don’t need to be a member to enjoy Beats 1 radio, along side Apple Music radio its completely FREE, all you need is an Apple ID to start listening, and if you don’t have one yet (Android/Windows users) you can create an ID for free at iCloud.comwhich will also give you access to Apple productivity applications; Pages, Numbers, and Keynote from your browser.
