Google announced the smallest member of the Chrome OS gang to date. Dubbed Chromebit, the Asus-made device is a tiny HDMI dongle, which turns any compatible display in to a Chrome OS computer. the Chromebit. Smaller than a candy bar, the Chromebit is a full computer that will be available for less than $100. By simply plugging this device into any display, you can turn it into a computer. It’s the perfect upgrade for an existing desktop and will be really useful for schools an businesses.

So whether you’re looking for a smaller Chrome device that packs a big punch or a laptop that can do back bends.

Despite its highly pocketable size, Chromebit packs respectable specs. They include Rockchip 3288 chipset, Mali 760 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory, and a full USB 2.0 port.

Connectivity options of the charming gadget include Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. The latter is particularly important as users will need it to connect a wireless keyboard and a mouse to the device.

The Chromebit packs a swiveling mechanism which allow users to easily hide it behind a monitor. The device will be available at some point this summer with sub-$100 price tag.
