VAT Salvation

VAT Salvation

Poland Report

As per the latest news regarding VAT in Poland, the reverse tax charge is nearer than ever was .

One of the most important decisions made was that the VAT will be paid only to the last recipient of the goods , eliminating all the middle companies avoiding VAT . The deputy finance minister announced that the reverse VAT will not be applied only on cell phones, but also on tablets , laptops , notebooks, game consoles and other devices , to video games . The changes are part of the amendment to the VAT Act . The VAT fraud in Poland reached to around 1.8 billion PLN ( approx 450 million Euro ) .

Another important fact, is that the buyer of goods will have to pay the tax in case the supplier has not , or he suspects that the supplier has not fulfil his duty to the tax office . Representatives of Ministry of finances, and several organizations from the industry have been trying to convince the Ministry of finances since weeks, and it seems they finally made it .

UK Report

FCIB has now started to release up to 100% funds frozen since 2006.

Account holders must take legal action immediately otherwise they may lose their claim to their funds.

We can have funds released in approximately two months after instigation of legal proceedings. Account holders will not have to pay any legal fees

Note that no further compliance documents are required, such as an auditor report. Also note that the release of funds is only applicable if no other, third parties (such as HMRC and/or liquidators) have placed a lien on the account and/or seized the funds.
